1. Always be on time when dating. It is important to be on time especially on the first date. Most women tend to arrive late on dates because of the tradition that it is fine for men to wait for women. However, being on time is not only to impress but also to be considerate to your date.
2. Be observant during the date. Though you must have fun on your date, it is still important to observe what is going on for your own protection. See if you date is acting weird or suspiciously, or he is just a bit nervous. Pay attention to his body language especially to his eyes. If he is looking at you in an uncomfortable impolite manner or looking at the woman next to you, maybe it is time to finish the date. Being aware gives you more opportunity to deal with the situation.
3. It is important to be nice, not only on dates but at all times. Having a positive attitude can greatly affect the mood of the people around you. When you are on a date, talk about the things that interest you, complement him about his looks, his clothes, and tell him how much you are enjoying his company. This way, he will feel at ease and more comfortable. Complements also boost anybody’s confidence. However, do not lie. Do not give him complements that are obviously not true.
4. It is important to enjoy your date. It is a good opportunity to get to know each other better and to have fun. Though you need to be observant, avoid being too critical. Let your date know that you are having fun because if he feels that you are bored, he may feel nervous. Show your date the real you. It does not matter if he will or will not like the way you are but eventually, your honesty will be appreciated.
5. After the date, it is fine to show interest. If you like the man, you may tend to wait for his call immediately after your date and it can be stressful. If he is interested, he will definitely call you. Men usually need to put up a lot of courage before they could show some interest so give your date more time to prepare. It is fine to give him a ring and say hello if he has not called after two days. Let him know that you had wonderful time with him and give some clues that you are looking forward to the next date.
